The deceased (Reeva steenkamp) was understood to be Pistorius’ girlfriend and that he may have shot her after mistaking her for an intruder. Pistorius,26, was understood to have shot his girlfriend in the head and arm, when she woke him, trying to surprise him on Valentine’s day.
