They are plagued by rumours that their marriage is on its last legs. But Jay Z and Beyoncé tellingly spent their day off from touring very much together, joined by family as their On The Run tour hit New Orleans on the weekend. Following their show at the Superdome on Sunday night, the couple, who have been married for six years, were joined by Bey’s sister Solange and a group of pals as they enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at Kingfish in the historic French Quarter. Proving that they’ve moved on from the nastiness that took place in a hotel elevator following the Met Gala on May 5, brother- and sister-in-law Jay and Solange, 28, were reportedly getting on like a house on fire, no doubt much to Beyoncé’s relief.
According to People, the 44-year-old rapper and his wife looked ‘cute and cosy’ and were said to be ‘enjoying each other’s company’ during the outing, as reports of an imminent split continue to gather steam. ‘They seemed to be having a nice time and were really relaxed and super low-key,’ a witness tells the publication. The insider reports that the group dined on the chef’s selection of appetisers. Prior to their family feast, the couple spent some time alone, enjoying an intimate lunch for two at Cochon Restaurant. They also made sure to include their precious daughter Blue Ivy in their activities, taking the two-and-a-half-year-old out for some sightseeing in the city later that day.
The 32-year-old proud mama shared a photo with fans on Instagram of the couple swinging their only child by her arms as they waited to cross the road. A trip to the National World War II Museum was also on the cards for some added culture, with Bey snapping away photos of the aircraft hanging from the rafters.
