Mother of a former Governor of Oyo State and Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Alhaji Alimotu Shadiya Atoke Ladoja is dead. She died at about 7 pm Wednesday at the Bodija country home of the former Governor.
Breaking the news to Vanguard, last night on phone from Ibadan, former President of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Prince Lanre Ogundipe, said, “Mama lived a fulfilled life” and prayed that Allah would reposed her gentle soul in Al-Jannah.
Ogundipe, who did not give details of burial arrangement, hinted that she would be buried today (Thursday) in Ibadan, according to Muslim rites.
