Joan Rivers’ family are said to be considering bringing a lawsuit after she suddenly stopped breathing during a ‘botched’ procedure as doctors fear a stroke could leave her ‘as a vegetable’ or ‘needing a wheelchair’.
The process to bring the comedian out of a medically induced coma began on Sunday at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and will take until Tuesday.
The 81-year-old went into a cardiac and respiratory arrest on Thursday morning while undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords at a private clinic on New York City’s Upper East Side.
