The Group MD/CEO of Diamond Bank Plc, Alex Otti, has resigned, to contest for the governorship of Abia state. Otti had earlier declared his intention at the PDP state secretariat in Umuahia to run for office, in the gubernatorial election of the state in the 2015 elections saying he was on a rescue mission in the state to develop the state, since incumbent Governor, T. A Orji has failed to do so with the exception of security.
“I am coming to rescue the state, the current administration in the state has failed to do anything may be perhaps he tried in the area of security. So, I am coming to rescue the state,” he said.
