Misty Upham, who was nominated for an Indie Spirit Award in 2009 for her role in the feature film Frozen River, was found dead in the woods in Auburn, WA, today after going missing for 10 days. She was found today and was only 32. Filmmaker friend Tracy Rector, speaking on behalf of the family, and said the actress did not take her own life, as previously suggested.
Her father had said that Upham had stopped taking medication for bipolar disorder and anxiety, prompting speculation of a possible suicide.
