The first case of the deadly Ebola virus diagnosed on US soil has been confirmed in Dallas, Texas. A Dallas hospital gave a man antibiotics and sent him home – only for him to be admitted two days later. It was revealed the man was critically ill with the Ebola virus, which has killed more than 3,000 in West Africa.
The unidentified patient has been in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday, officials said. The man, whose nationality has not been disclosed, reportedly sought care on the 26th and was admitted on the 28th.
