The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress , Muhammadu Buhari on Monday visited Chibok to view for himself the town from which over 200 schoolgirls were abducted last April, reports Nigerian Watch. Buhari, who was in Borno State in continuation of his presidential campaign rally, was accompanied on the trip by the state governor Kashim Shettima.
Member of the Civilian JTF provided security during the trip after men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) refused to follow Buhari and his entourage on the trip. While in Chibok, members of the community came out in their thousands to welcome him. He later addressed the the people and parents of the abducted girls.
