The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge emerged on the steps outside the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital shortly after 6pm this evening where the world was given a brief glimpse of the new princess (right), whose name is yet to be announced. The newest royal, who appeared wrapped tightly in a white blanket, was born at 8.34am today weighing 3.7kgb less than three hours after the Duchess was admitted to hospital.
Prince William and Kate’s new baby will be fourth in line to throne and will be entitled to call themselves a prince or princess thanks to the Queen ruling that the youngster should have an HRH title.
Congrats to the royal family!
