Images capture the final moments of a depraved gunman who opened fire on a Tunisian beach packed with innocent holiday makers – killing at least 37 and injuring 36. The twisted assassin is thought to be 23-year-old Seifeddine Yacoubi from the Tunisian city of Kairouan. AK47 in hand, he stalks the streets of Sousse looking for more victims before he is gunned down by Tunisian police , who may also have captured his accomplice.

Terrifying eyewitness accounts claim the men arrived on the beach on jet skis – with automatic weapons hidden inside parasols. It has emerged that a British man, who was shot three times during the onslaught, bravely used his body as a human shield to protect his fiancée from being killed by the maniac gunman. Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has said at least five British tourists were killed in the massacre – but that number is expected to rise.
