Khloe Kardashian, 31, is officially a single woman again. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and former NBA player Lamar Odom, 35, who were married for four years, took the last step toward finalizing their divorce on July 17.
Both Khloe and Lamar finally signed legal documents that will make the split official, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The decision to finally get moving on this has obviously been a long time coming, as Khloe filed for divorce in Dec. 2013. But, at one point, a judge even threatened to dismiss the case because so much time had passed without activity in the exes’ file.
What started out as a whirlwind love affair and strong, passionate marriage took a turn for the tumultuous when Lamar succumbed to his alleged drug and alcohol issues in the summer of 2013. Poor Khloe did everything in her power to help save the man she loved — and still loves to this day — but in the end she had to do what was best for her.
After having second thoughts about divorcing Lamar as recently as Dec. 2014, Khloe finally seems ready to move forward with her life. As sad as this is, we know she will one day find the true love and happiness she deserves.
