Bobbi Kristina Brown was laid to rest in the church where she used to pray with her beloved mother Whitney Houston. Mum and daughter regularly attended the St James United Methodist Church for more than a decade. But today Bobbi Kristina arrived alone, in a silver casket, as her family gathered for her funeral service. While Whitney – the woman Bobbi Kristina credited as her best friend – wasn’t there, her picture was present at the altar. The same song was played at her funeral as her mother’s, with mourners being left in floods of tears as Donnie McClerkin’s Stand was sung by the choir.
Bobbi was in a silver open casket, and Leolah, Bobby Brown’s sister, said she looked “beautiful”. Nick Gordon, 25, due to marry Bobbi this month, was banned. He found her face down in the bath in January. She never regained consciousness and died last Sunday. She is to be buried alongside her mother in New Jersey.
Bobby was joined by his wife Alicia Etheredge on Friday.
Father’s pain: Bobby Brown looked tense and emotional as he walked slowly out of the funeral home on Friday.
Upset: Singer CIssy Houston, the mother of Whitney Houston, is seen arriving at her granddaughter’s wake on Friday amid family quarrels
RIP Bobbi
