Michael May, 44, was on Tuesday evening arrested after an officer saw him digging up a grave at a cemetery in Sanford, Kentucky. He attempted to bury old wounds by digging up a corpse believed to be his father’s, has landed the man behind bars. Following investigations, Michael said his dad died 30 years ago.Michael told the officer who arrested him that he was trying to dig up the grave of his father so he could argue with him.
Michael told reporter, Josh Breslow, in jailhouse interview that a certain bible verse inspired him to dig up his dad. When Josh asked Michael if he didn’t feel he was violating a grave, he said, “No, no. I see the truth. He needs to be on the ground. Not under it.” Michael was charged with violating graves, public intoxication and marijuana possession and locked in the Lincoln County Jail.
