This is the touching moment her mum Stephanie, 34, and James, 38 cuddled their three-month premature daughter for the fist time – and she is so small, her dad’s wedding ring slips easily onto her arm.
Gorgeous Mollie was born thirteen weeks premature at Hull East Yorkshire Women and Children’s hospital in April and was given just three weeks to live. Doctors told her devastated parents not to expect their daughter to survive after she was diagnosed with a placental disorder before birth.
Mollie managed to pull through – and at 25 days old, this is the incredible moment her parents were able to hold her for the first time – after she defied doctors’ expectations.
Now her proud parents, from Hull, East Yorkshire, are finally preparing to take her home for the very first time.
James said: “I can’t believe the moment has finally come for us to take Mollie home.
“After weeks of watching parents come and go with their own babies, it’s finally going to be time to take our little one home.
