South Africa’s Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has again returned to hospital two weeks after being discharged. Tutu, 83, is receiving treatment of inflammation in a Cape Town hospital.
“My father was readmitted last night on advice of doctors,” Mpho Tutu told reports, noting that “it is caution, not crisis.”
Tutu has been in and out of hospital in the past month. He was first hospitalised in mid-July. The admissions are said not to be linked to Tutu’s treatment for prostate cancer.
