Marilyn Ogar, a former spokesperson for the Department of State Security (DSS), has been shown the exit door. In a report on the The Cable, Ogar, alongside other top directors at the DSS, have been compulsorily retired from the agency effective from yesterday, September 2.
Ogar was told to leave the force yesterday via a retirement letter dispatched to her and several others by the new leadership of the agency.According to a report on Sahara Reporters, Ogar was sent packing as Musa Daura, new director of the agency decided he wants to reorganize the agency.
The Punch reports that Ogar was sent alongside 14 other senior officials on compulsory retirement while Vanguard reports that she alongside 44 other top directors in the security agency were sacked.
