A win for one is clearly a win for all.Uzo Aduba was treated to a hero’s welcome at the Netflix Emmys after party by her Orange Is The New Black co-stars on Sunday night.
The Orange Is The New Black star was overwhelmed when she was name the Best Supporting Actress in the comedy category for her hit series. The 34-year-old Boston native said, ‘I really just want to say thank you a thousand times. If I could say thank you a thousand times, it would not be enough.’
‘Thank you for creating this show, for creating this space, for creating a platform,’ she said. She went on to thank her castmates, crew, agent, manager and lawyers, adding, ‘I love you mostly because you let me be me.’ And she also said a thank you to her sister Chioma Aduba.
‘I really just want to say thank you for my family, who have stood beside me my entire life,’ she said. She said to Chioma in the audience, ‘I am hubled to call myself your sister. I love you so much.’
