March is the month specially dedicated to Mothers as well as the International Women’s day Genevieve Magazine’s March issue is all about celebrating women for their tenacity and roles as game changers and influencers.
15 years ago 14 individuals (13 women and a Man) decided to establish WIMBIZ; an organization with a vision “to be the catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women and their contribution to nation building, through advocacy, capacity building, mentoring, networking and support”. Today, the mantle of leadership has been passed to a younger generation.
On the Magazine’s double cover for March are 7 members of the executive council of WIMBIZ and 1 Executive director. The interviews are very engaging as these strong women from public and private sectors address a host of issues affecting women.
Also featured in this edition is the story of Joseph Godwin, the Fish seller’s son, the photo of him and his fish seller mum went viral recently as he paid tribute to her while he was on service. The chat with this proud son of a fish seller was intriguing as he opened up to Genevieve Magazine on his mother’s struggles to put food on their table and give them a head start in life through education.
