Also, 32 of the 34 active building sites in Lagos being developed by Lekki Worldwide Estate Limited have no development permits, it was learnt yesterday. Lekki Worldwide Estate Limited owns the building under construction that collapsed in Lekki on March 8, killing 35 people.

The company has 34 active building sites spread across Lagos State. Preliminary investigations into the company’s activities suggest that it was able to obtain development permit for only 2 of the 34 sites.

It’s also alleged that the government’s investigations have so far shown that most of the structures were built with substandard materials and in flagrant disregard of town planning laws and regulations…. Cc: The Nation Newspaper
