The daughter of the Notorious B.I.G. has hit out at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for not inviting her to a concert being held in his honour. Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy, was best friends with the late rapper and was with him on the night he was shot dead, nineteen years ago. T’yanna Wallace, 22, complained that the rapper hadn’t sent her tickets to the tribute concert he has organised for Biggie in May. See the tweets after the break
By Wednesday she had deleted her tweets, after apparently having had a conversation with Diddy. She tweeted:
‘Me & puff talked, a lot of things were cleared up & everything is LOVE!! So everybody can calm down….’
A source told Page Six they weren’t sure why Wallace tweeted what she did, as she would definitely be at the show. Puffy, 46, responded to the message:
‘LOVE you babygrl!! See you at the concert!! We’re gonna have a great night!!’
He is staging One Night Only at Barclays Center on Friday, May 20th – one day before what would have been Biggie’s 44th birthday – featuring his widow, Faith Evans, as well as Lil’ Kim, Mary J Blige and Jay Z.
‘This isn’t just another concert, this is hip-hop history, said Combs of the concert. We are celebrating one of the greatest of all time – Notorious B.I.G.’ he announced as tickets went on sale – selling out within seven minutes.
Notorious B.I.G – whose name is Christopher Wallace – was just 24-years-old when he was killed in a hail of gunfire in a drive-by shooting on a Los Angeles street in 1997. Diddy was with the rapper when he was shot four times after leaving an after-party for the Soul Train Music Awards on March 9, he died of his injuries in hospital.
The murder remains unsolved despite an FBI investigation, and is widely blamed on a rap war between the East and West Coast rappers.
