Adbullah Muflahi, the 28-year-old shop keeper whose video of a black man being shot dead by police shocked millions has told how he trusted cops so little that he hid the phone it was taken on. He secretely hid away the iPhone on which he had recorded the final seconds of his friend Alton Sterling’s life because he feared the film would never be seen by the public.
He said he was ‘heartbroken’ by the incident, but was worried that the video would be withheld if police had realized the powerful images existed. Muflahi, a father of three, was questioned as a witness for three hours in a police car after the shooting in the early hours of Tuesday.
