The French gymnast who broke his leg at the Olympics is already planning his comeback, he revealed in a message from his hospital bed. Unlucky Samir Ait Said missed London 2012 with a broken right leg and was desperate to make up for the shattering blow to his career in Rio.But he suffered an open fracture to the tibia and fibula of his left leg when trying to land his vault yesterday – before being dropped as paramedics tried to get him into the back of an ambulance.
He has now spoken out about his injury in a video message on his Facebook page and vowed to make another comeback to target gold at Tokyo in four years’ time.
