The Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministry, Ojudu, Lagos was home to some ailing Nollywood actors, who received prayers and N3.5m donation from the church’s Senior Pastor, Dr Chris Okafor on Sunday.
The entertainers suffered from ailments ranging from kidney problems, diabetes and mental illness to stroke, leukemia and prostate cancer, among others.
Okafor, during a thanksgiving service organised by Save Nollywood Actors Foundation, prayed for the entertainers to have quick recovery.
“We pray for the entertainment industry that the presence of Jehovah takes control. We pray that you are washed by the blood of Jesus. We stop every satanic harassment and attacks over your lives. We plead for mercy on whatever the enemy has planted that does not glorify God,” the pastor prayed.
The beneficiaries of the cash gifts include James Uche, Obi Madubogwu, Romeo Casual, Romanus Amuta (Natty), Fregene Nicholas, Tunde Alabi, Emma Ugolee, Victor Olaitor, Jude Oteka, Harry B, Ameachi Monagor, Patience Oseni, Theodore Anyanji, Tony Akposheri and Ernest Azuzu.
Others are Victor Eze, Adedayo Liadi, Victoria Ndubuaku, Frank Ibisidor Asiyai, Tommy Oyewole, Promise Nnaji, Sadiq Daba and Gbenga Peters.
An actor and film producer, who thanked the church on behalf of the beneficiaries, Torino Ojukwu, said the programme was part of the plans to assuage the heath challenges of Nigerian entertainers.
