According to the spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, South West zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, three people, including the driver have been recovered dead. He said 48 people have been rescued after a fully-loaded luxury bus belonging to GUO transport plunged into Majidun River at Owode- Elede area of Mile 12, Lagos in the early hours of today. Three persons are feared dead, while many were rescued from the Owode river. See more photos below
The luxury bus, said to be coming from the South east, plunged into the river around 3 am. The bus was filled with business men and women and their goods. The surviving victims have been rushed to the hospital for proper medical care/checks
