On Thursday, it was announced that the singer topped Billboard magazine’s 2016 Money Maker’s list with $62.1 million dollars earned last year.It’s not much of a surprise given her massive popularity and fan base, but the numbers are still astonishing as Queen B earned over $20 million more than the second act on the list Guns N Roses.
Guns N Roses brought in most of their $42.3 million from their long-awaited reunion tour which they have extended into 2017.Drake jumped 32 spots from his position last year to end up as the fourth biggest earner with $37.3 million, over $18 million of that coming from his albums being played on streaming services. Though Adele’s critically adored album 25 was released in 2015, her tour in support of the hit record, as well as 2.2 million overall album sales for 2016, landed her at number five on the list with an even $37 million in earnings.
