Baby Oyintari Michael whose penis was chopped off by his step grandfather during a traditional circumcision at Ondewari Community, Bayelsa State, has been flown abroad. The little man was flown to India this afternoon, for a reconstructive surgery.
Bayelsa State government through the first lady Rachael Dickson, are the sponsors of the trip. They took care of baby Oyintari’s medical bills and issued N6m cheque and other traveling documents to his parents to enable them travel for the surgery.
Oyintari who was 8months old at the time of the ugly incident, is now 1 year and 2months old, and has been in custody of the First Lady of Bayelsa since the ugly incident.
