Brazilian model Lais Ribeiro blinged up the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in Shanghai yesterday by wearing a £1.8 million gold Fantasy Bra. Ribeiro, 27, appeared on the catwalk alongside the likes of Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, but few shimmered as brightly as her. The Mouawad-designed Fantasy Bra took nearly 350 hours to make and features almost 6,000 gemstones including diamonds, yellow sapphires and blue topaz.
Lais, who comes from a remote town in Brazil, has a nine-year-old son. Recalling the moment she was first asked to model the Fantasy Bra she says:
‘I never cried so much in my entire life — and I have a baby!’
