A British woman has died after falling from her hotel balcony in Spain. Loran Atkinson, 29, from Blackburn in Lancashire, died on December 23 while staying in the Costa Del Sol. She is believed to have toppled over a balcony at the four-star Hotel Yaramar, which overlooks the trendy Los Boliches beach in Fuengirola. The adults-only hotel is more than 15 storeys high and famous for its bank of scenic elevators.
Loran had been living in London and is a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire. A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office said:
‘We are aware of the death of a British woman in Spain and we are providing assistance to her family.’
Friends of Ms Atkinson’s family have set up a fundraising page to bring her body back to the UK. The page, which was set up today, has already raised more than £2,000 of the £4,400 target. The page explained:
‘Anything you could donate at this time would be both gratefully and graciously received to return Loran home to rest in peace among the love of her family and friends.’
Loran is thought to not have holiday insurance cover and her mother, Angela Pejcinovic, and sister Cecily Atkinson don’t have the money to bring Loran’s body home to England. Gemma Louise Holden wrote:

Jordan Simone Wilson, meanwhile, said that Loran was ‘One in a billion’. She added:
‘You will live forever in mine and kids hearts you where just my kind of crazy and there will never be another you xxxxxxxxxxxxx’.
