Coleen & Wayne Rooney welcomed their fourth son yesterday. The new mum shared the first sweet photo of her newborn baby son, Cass Mac, on Instagram on Thursday, just hours after giving birth. The 31-year-old announced the news on Twitter by posting a photo of herself and the tot in hospital, captioned:
‘So Happy to welcome our Baby Boy …. Cass Mac Rooney into the world weighing a healthy 8lb 10oz. He is beautiful.’
In the black and white image, Coleen looked lovingly at her baby, while wearing nightwear emblazoned with a butterfly design. Looking naturally beautiful, Coleen smiled with contentment as her baby lay under her clothing for that precious skin-on-skin contact. Wayne retweeted his wife’s initial announcement, alongside a message of congratulations from his club Everton.
Her husband Wayne, 32, then took to his own Instagram to pose proudly with the tot and his older brothers Kai, eight, Klay, four, and Kit, two, beside a playful caption – with eldest son Kai sweetly cradling the newborn on the sofa.
Beaming with pride, Wayne accompanied the snap with the affectionate caption: ‘5-a-side team complete! Welcome to the world Cass.’ The footballer stayed behind on Wednesday as the rest of the Everton squad flew out to Dubai for warm weather training.
Wayne, 32, and Coleen have only recently repaired their nine-year marriage after it was rocked by cheating scandals during the pregnancy.
