Ebony Reigns final funeral rites has been postponed to 24th March to a new location. This is because the venue, Independence Square, named for her funeral has also been booked for another event set to happen on the same date (17th March).
According to blogger, Eugene Sarfo Nkansah, who was speaking on Abeiku Santana’s Okay Fm Drive Time Radio Show, he is reliably informed that Ebony’s family has decided to hold the funeral on 24th March at the Forecourt Of the State House.
The 20-year-old musician lost her life on 9th February to a gory accident with friends, Franky Kuri who has been buried this past weekend and military personnel, Francis Atsu Vondee, whose funeral will also come off on the 24th of March in Adidome in the Volta Region. This means Ebony’s bodyguard will likely have no attention from sympathizers of the Fallen Star because Franky Kuri’s funeral was even ignored by many.
Ghanaian textile giants GTP has clinched a major new deal with the team of Ebony Reigns to produce a line of clothing inspired by the singer which would be used for her funeral and beyond.
The cloths would include brands such as ‘Maame Hw3’, ‘Sponsor’ and ‘Aseda’ – all evidently inspired by the singer’s most massive hits.
Born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, Ebony Reigns was a Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist who first hit the scene in 2015, but exploded in 2017 after dropping five back to back hit singles, a feat rarely achieved in Ghanaian music.
She died at the young age of 20 on the 8th of February 2018, whilst returning from Sunyani after a visit to her mother.
