The Senior Pastor of Daystar Church, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, has shared his views on tithing by Christians. The pastor said curses attached to failure to pay tithe only worked in the Old Testament.
According to Gossipmill, the pastor made this statement in a teaching in his church yesterday. He pointed out, while addressing the congregation, that tithing is a teaching in the old testament and it was mandatory for folks to pay then and there were curses attached to non payment of tithe in those days.
He said Christian should not be pressured or forced to pay tithe, adding that not paying tithe does not attract a curse for a Christian anymore.

“Since we are under a new covenant, giving is a choice. Everyone should decide the percentage they want to pay with the knowledge that you will be blessed based on how you give.”
