A boy who is just 13 is among the latest victims of knife crime in London as violence continues to blight the city. Six teenagers were injured in four separate boroughs last night.
Three of them were taken to hospital while a male was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder. The first stabbing came at 5.30pm when a boy, 15, was stabbed in Poplar’s East India Dock Road. At 6pm police were called to Mile End after two 15-year-old boys were left in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed.
There have now been so many stabbings across London that the Metropolitan Police have asked for help from the City of London Police force to help them. The attacks have added to the UK’s soaring rate of knife crime, with fatal stabbings in England and Wales at their highest levels since 2010/11.
