Popular Vlogger and journalist Zachary Stoner, better known as Zack TV, has been shot and killed while driving in Chicago’s Printer’s Row neighborhood.
According to a police report, the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of South Clark Street. The 30-year-old was shot in his head and neck before his Jeep drove up on a curb and crashed into a light pole.
Zachary was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Stoner’s uncle, Willie Jones, told ABC7 Eyewitness News over the phone that the family doesn’t know who would have targeted him.
“He felt that everybody should have a voice, so he tried to be the voice for everybody who didn’t have a voice,” Jones said. “It is going to be a tremendous loss not just for our family but for Chicago as a whole.”
According to Mr.Jones, the popular Vlogger had a YouTube page called “zacktv1” that had more than 174,000 subscribers and more than 1,700 videos. He said he covered gangs, crime and rap artists in Chicago and tried to tell stories that no one else would.
