One of a 21-year-old woman’s hands has been chopped off by her husband, Evans Kengere Manyansa, 25, for allegedly questioning her husband’s whereabouts.
The mother of one was attacked with a machete at Masagege village in Gucha South, Kisii County of Kenya, reports Citizen TV Kenya.
Speaking from her hospital bed at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, she said , Manyansa sneaked into her parents’ home where she had sought refuge after they had engaged in a quarrel over the man’s tendency to occasionally not return home in the evening.
When she questioned her husband over the habit, she claimed Manyansa got violent prompting her to flee.
She disclosed that while in her parents’ house, Manyansa phoned her asking her to come out of the house.
The woman claimed that after leaving the house, a brief argument arose between them before the man unleashed a machete and descended on her, injuring her on the shoulder and right arm.
