The President of the United States, Donald Trump has accused the Queen of keeping him waiting and told his followers at a rally that England no longer exists. Ironically, he was hitting out at the ‘fake, fake disgusting news’ when he went on his wildly inaccurate rant during a rally that wasn’t supposed to be about him. It’s got to be seen to be believed.
He said: ‘I have great respect for the UK, United Kingdom, great respect. People call it Britain, they call it Great Britain, they call it, they used to call it England, different parts. ‘But the UK, great respect, and I was asked to have tea with the Queen, who is incredible by the way. Incredible.
‘So I was hearing, I had landed and I’m on the ground and I’m waiting with the King’s err.. with the Queen’s guards, wonderful people. I’m waiting. So I was about 15 minutes early and I’m waiting with my wife and that’s fine. Hey, it’s the Queen, right? We can wait. But I’m a little early. ‘So I then go up and meet the Queen and she is fantastic. We then go up and have tea. And I didn’t know this, it was supposed to last for 15 minutes, but it lasted for like an hour because we got along. We got along.’ During that same meeting he snubbed Her Majesty for a second time by walking in front of her while inspecting the troops. Here he is getting his geography woefully inaccurate.
Trump was speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania where he took swipes at the Democrats. He pointed at the media at the back of the hall saying: ‘Whatever happened to the free press? Whatever happened to honest reporting? They don’t report it. They only make up stories.’ Time and time again, Trump denounced the press for underselling his accomplishments and doubting his political rise.
