Donald Trump has accused Google of ‘rigging’ its search engine so that only bad news is shown about his presidency.
In an angry outburst the billionaire president said that searching for “Trump News” on the site only showed reports “Fake New (sic) Media”.
He said the search engine “have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD”.
The President accused Google and others of “suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good.
“They are controlling what we can and cannot see,” he continued.
Mr Trump also hit out at CNN who he has a history of accusing of reporting so-called fake news.
But more worryingly he issued a warning saying “this is a very serious situation – will be addressed”.
So far he has not given any further details after firing off the tweets early this morning.
Previously President Trump has called the press “the enemy of the people,” “very dangerous & sick” and fake news.”
The latest attack on the media comes after more than 300 US newspapers came together to support the #FreePress against the President’s attacks.
The papers published editorials defending freedom of the press, in an effort coordinated by the Boston Globe.
On Tuesday morning the President tweeted: “Google search results for “Trump News” shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake New Media.
“In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. “Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of…
….results on “Trump News” are from National Left-Wing Media, very dangerous.
