A pastor at Christian Community Church International,  Ayodele Abisagbo, has unveiled a book inspired by the recession that recently enveloped the Nigerian economy.

The book, titled Living Above Economic Recession, was presented at the church, where the author also spoke on the need for everyone to imbibe investment ideals.

According to him, Nigerians must appreciate the fact that the economy is not yet out of the woods.

He said, “Nigeria is officially out of recession but,  if you look around, you will find that many individuals are not out of recession. At a point, I wanted to stop writing the book or change the title. But God told me to continue and that it treats principles that covered a lifetime.”

According to him, the publication  focuses on biblical principles that God used to bring “His own people out of famine.”

Abisagbo said although he wrote the book from a Christian perspective, everyone could learn from it.

“There is a chapter of the book, where I wrote about digging deep. Many people complain and they fold their arms. God has given every man a gift. Look inwards. If you look at every chapter, I ended it with life applications.  If you follow the principles, it will work for you.

“The truth is that every consumer will be at the mercy of a producer. We should all graduate to a point where we are producing something. There is something that God put in everyone:  that once you are able to produce it, you can earn money from it,” the man, who is also an agric economist, said.
