Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland is said to be moving to London to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law Prince Harry. The 61-year-old, who is close with the Duchess of Sussex, attended the couple’s wedding in May and appeared at ease with members of the royal family. And now she is preparing to move to the UK, according to a friend who told the Express that the move could even happen next month.
Speaking in Los Angeles, where Ms Ragland currently lives, the friend said: ‘She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible. ‘She fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live. ‘I think this has been coming for a while. Even before the wedding she told me how she misses her Megs so much she would do anything to be closer to her, especially now Meghan will be starting a family of her own.’ Another neighbour said Ms Ragland is ‘beside herself with excitement’ as she plans the move across the world.
While Meghan’s father Thomas Markle has faced criticism over his regular interviews, Ms Ragland earned plaudits for the way she conducted herself at the royal wedding. The only member of Meghan’s family to attend, she seemed to develop a strong relationship with the royal family.
