Thomas Markle has compared the royal family to Scientologists because of their ‘cult-like secrecy’. Meghan Markle’s father made the outrageous comparision because he claims he has not had contact with his daughter since her wedding to Prince Harry in May. He claims his attempts to get in contact with the Duchess of Sussex have been met with a ‘wall of silence’.
Speaking to The Sun from his home in Rosarito, Mexico, Mr Markle said: ‘They are either like Scientologists or the Stepford family. ‘If they hear anybody say anything they just lock the doors. They need to speak up!
‘They are cult-like — like Scientology — because they are secretive. ‘They close the door, pull the shades down and put their fingers in their ears so they don’t have to hear.’ It is the latest public outburst from the 74-year-old former lighting director against Kensington Palace and he claims Meghan has ‘cut him out of her life’.
