Addressing journalists at the palace yesterday, the senior councillor of the emirate and Galadiman Kano, Alh. Abbas Sanusi, hinted that the Kano emirate council under the leadership of the emir approved the suspension with immediate effect.

Those suspended, according to the council, include Muhammad Abdullahi (‘Yan Dadi village) Jamilu Abubakar (Hugugumai), Abdu Yahaya (Gadaba), Dahiru Muhammad (Galadimawa) and Isyaku Mustapha (Ridawa), all in Kunchi Council.

The Galadiman revealed that the council’s action was sequel to a report from the district head of Kunchi on insubordination, which was capable of bringing the council to disrepute. He said the emirate council would not condone any act capable of tarnishing the image of the council.
