There is heavy security presence in vairous parts of Osun state as voting has begun in Osogbo. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ordered a re-run in the unit due to disruptions that occurred there during the governorship election last Saturday.
According to reports, voting began at exactly 8am and is going on peacefully at the unit where 947 voters were affected.
A large detachment of security personnel were seen around adjourning streets.
Armed men of the police, army and the Department of State Services (DSS) were strategically positioned to ensure there are no disruptions.
Those coming to the unit were asked to identify themselves by their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Only accredited journalists were granted access to the unit.
