How To Know If Your Partner Has Crossed The LineZUMI

Living in a “woke” generation ultimately means dealing with a lot of opinions and perspectives on basically any topic you can think of . What this means is that nothing has a clear definition any longer. So we just have to ask what is cheating really?

In the good old days, simply put the days of our mom and dads, cheating was catching your man in a beer parlor with a random babe.  To be a cheat, you had to be caught in the act.

But what is cheating these days?

These days things have changed. If you’re too close to the member of the opposite sex, getting expensive gifts from a rich admirer or sending nudes to someone who isn’t your partner, you’re technically cheating.

Most people would say that since you both haven’t had sex, you technically haven’t cheated. Others would argue that the first step is opening yourself emotionally which is what these acts do to you. Google defines cheating as ‘being sexually unfaithful’ which means there has to be a sexual meeting for it to be considered cheating, right?

Here’s what we think

So what is cheating? We believe that cheating is having an inappropriate relationship with someone other than your partner. More often than not, this sort of behavior can hurt one’s partner and damage the relationship. It comes in different forms some of which include sexting,  physical intimacy, emotional are the major ones.

Defining cheating in your relationship

You need to have a clear discussion with your partner regarding boundaries with friends of the opposite sex.  You might be cool with certain type of behavior but that doesn’t mean your partner has to be. So if your partner isn’t comfortable with the gifts you get from rich admirers, it’s time to send Mr. Rich Admirer on his way.

If your partner doesn’t mind a threesome and you’re cool with it, yay for you. If you’re both cool with sexting other people, sext away. But you should be extra sure what your partner is willing to take and how far he’s willing to let you go.
