The win over Brentford made it six wins in a row for Arsenal, who haven’t lost a home match in Carabao Cup to a team outside the top flight since 1983.
Unai Emery’s men will look to extend that run against Watford in the English Premier League on Saturday before they know their Carabao Cup Fourth Round opponent later the same day.
Brentford, meanwhile, are now winless in three games and will look to bounce back when they host Reading in the Championship where they are currently placed seventh.
