Enugu Rangers coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, is satisfied with the performance of his players in Monday’s 2-1 Aiteo Cup win against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ifeanyi George put Rangers ahead from the penalty spot in the 10th minute , while Afolabi Abdulwahab equalised for El-Kanemi Warriors in the 37th minute.
Kelvin Itoya scored a sublime goal four minutes from time to hand Rangers all three points in the encounter.
“We should be glad getting the result especially against El-Kanemi. There are so many scenarios surrounding the game. They are not a pushover team,” Ogunbote told reporters after the Aiteo Cup clash.
“It was not an easy game but we thank God for the victory. It was quite challenging playing against a former coach of Rangers, but we just played our game and got the result we wanted and we shall continue to work on noticed lapses in other matches.”
The Coal City outfit will face Bet9ja Nigeria National League side, Supreme Court in their next Aiteo Cup game on Wednesday.
