A sex robot brothel in Italy that was shut down two weeks after its launch will REOPEN, says its owner. Lumidoll was closed by police after alleged infringements of Italian property law, according to reports in Italian media.
But owner Sergi Prieto told Daily Star Online: “At the moment the premises will remain closed until these bureaucratic details are resolved but the forecast is that they can resume the activity soon.”
He also rubbished reports about questionable hygiene standards, saying that “hygiene in the establishment of LumiDolls is 100 per cent guaranteed.”
The closure came after the firm’s second brothel in Barcelona was forced to move to a new location after the building’s landlord cancelled the lease.
Lumidolls also has a brothel in Moscow, Russia, and the firm has plans to open other sex dens across the world.
However, Sergi Prieto says the information regarding the brothel shared by Turin City Council was untrue.
He said: “As you know, we also had this kind of problem with the media in Barcelona in the past.
“They told things that were completely false.”
Hygiene authorities are now carrying out an investigation to see if the firm’s doll cleaning met all standards.
Lumidolls owner Sergi Prieto previously told Daily Star: “As you know in Italy, prostitution is 100% legal.
“Customers will have the option at Lumidolls Torino to have new sexual experiences in a safe and secure place.”
Punters at Lumidolls pay £67 per half an hour or £83 an hour to rent a room with the sex-robots.
