A teacher has been arrested on suspicion of chopping off her ex-lover’s penis and throwing it in a toilet. Jane Wanjiku, alongside two male accomplices, allegedly abducted Paul Kyande from a nightclub after spiking his drink, according to police. One man, Joshua Ngugi, has also been arrested after allegedly helping Wanjiku pour acid over the victim’s eyes before completely removing his penis at her home in Kinoo, Kenya, last month.
Mr Kyande remains ‘critically ill’ at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, police said. ‘Doctors appear to be in a dilemma as to how to go about fixing the man’s penis on to his body,’ a police source said. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kenya says the two were arrested while attending interviews for a hotel job in Kwale County using different names from those in their Identity Cards. They are currently being held in custody and will appear in court in Nairobi on Monday.
A third suspect is still at large over the gruesome attack, police said. Detectives reportedly said Manjiku was a secondary school teacher and the victim is believed to be a former boyfriend. ‘We caught up with her as she prepared to do a job interview at the resort,’ an officer told local newspaper Sunday Standard. ‘She must have acted in a revenge mission after their friendship took a nosedive.’
