‘You Will Never Captain Manchester United Again’ – Jose Mourinho Tells Pogba.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has told Paul Pogba he will not captain the club again because of concerns about the midfielder’s attitude. Pogba was told of the decision before Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Derby.

The French midfielder’s feud with the Portuguese boss has escalated over the last few days when he criticised Mourinho’s tactics in the 1-1 draw with Wolves at the weekend.

Pogba has been discontent for weeks since winning the World Cup with France and thriving under Didier Deschamps.

The moment that Mourinho finally lost it is clear though, with Pogba spoiling a fine run of form for his side.

After securing three successive away wins vs Burnley , Watford and Young Boys, United were in position to beat Wolves and make it four thanks to Fred’s goal.

But Pogba then attempted a risky piece of skill on the half-way line, leading to Ruben Neves dispossessing him and driving up the pitch before Joao Moutinho equalised.

That appears to be when Mourinho’s patience snapped, with choice words in the dressing room afterwards.

And after Pogba’s public criticism, Mourinho has given the club a major problem as to who they back in the coming weeks.

“We’re at home, and we should play much better against Wolves,” Pogba said.

“When we’re at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We’re here to attack. I think teams are scared when they see Manchester United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake.

“We should just attack and press, like we did against Tottenham , Liverpool , Chelsea and Arsenal last season. When we play like this, it’s easier for us.”
