The police is investigating the murder of a teenager who was shot dead by unknown assailants.

The victim is 18-year-old Ethan Nedd-Bruce, of Charlton in London as the formal identification took place on Wednesday, 24 October.

Police were called on Monday, 22 October to a report of a disturbance…

Officers attended and found a man suffering from a stab injury outside Collins House. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Ethan appeared to have been stabbed, but a post-mortem held at Greenwich Public Mortuary on Wednesday, 24 October gave the cause of death to be a gun-shot wound.

There have been no arrests. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by DCI Richard Leonard, are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses.

DCI Leonard said: “Ethan was a young man who has been killed in very violent circumstances, leaving his family utterly bereft.

“We are still trying to piece together what happened that evening, and would urge anyone with information to contact as soon as possible. We are grateful for the community’s assistance so far.

“Several people reported seeing Ethan getting into an altercation with a number of males, in which he sustained his injuries.

“Two men made off from the scene on a motorbike – a rider and a pillion passenger. I need anyone who may have information that could assist us to make contact as quickly as possible.

“We cannot and will not abide by the use of firearms on London’s streets, and it is important that we identify the people involved in this murder.”
