El-kanemi Warriors goalkeeper, Modou Jobe, has been handed invitation by Gambia head coach, Tom Saintfiet for this month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group D double-header against the Hawks of Togo, Completesportsnigeria.com.
Jobe, 29, is among the 21 players listed for the games by Saintfiet who will be taking charge of his second official game as head coach of The Scorpions.
Gambia will face Togo on matchday-three at the Stade Municipal, Lome on October 16, while the reverse fixture is billed for Bakau three days later.
The Scorpions occupy third position in Group D with one point from their opening two games in the qualifiers, having drawn one and lost one.
Saintfiet’s men will need to avoid defeat to stay in contention for a place in Cameroon.
Jobe was in action as El-Kanemi Warriors exited the Aiteo Federation Cup on Thursday in the quater-finals following a 1-0 loss to Nasarawa United with Kabiru Balogun scoring a late winner for the Solid Miners.
Jobe only linked up with El-Kanemi Warriors last season from Senegalese outfit, ASC Linguere.
