D’Tigers star Al-Farouq Aminu recorded his first double-double of the NBA season in Portland Trail Blazers’ narrow 124-125 home defeat to Washington Wizards in the early hours of Tuesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
It was the Portland Trail Blazers first loss of the season in three games, and Aminu’s third straight start of the campaign.
The Blazers won the first quarter 32 -28 but lost the second and third quarters 30-34 and 15-16 to the Washington Wizards.
The fourth quarter ended 34-33 in favour of the Portland Trail Blazers before they lost 13-14 in over time.
Aminu scored 16 points, 15 rebounds and one steal as the Portland Trail Blazers lost on overtime.
The Portland Trail Blazers will face the Orlando Magic in their next game on Friday.
The Blazers are currently fourth in the Western Conference behind the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and the Golden State Warriors.
